Parkview Apartments, Brisbane

Sunday, November 9th, 2008 | 85 views

Was a little busy in the past week for some quotations and also the upcoming business trip to Dusseldorf.

Well, heres my update at Brisbane.

With the help of my colleague at Australia, she booked us this nice apartment located at Russell Street, Brisbane. From what we can see from the google map, it’s just about 100 meter away from the exhibition hall and I find it pretty convenient for all the workers and me. At least we don’t have to wake up very early to get prepared.

An owner called Rose Kite is very helpful during our stay and Australian are pretty much more polite comparing the locals here in Malaysia.

Thats the exterior of our apartments

From our balcony on the right side, you will see this view.

From the balcony of our left side, you can even see the exhibition hall.

The living room

The kitchen where we cook our meals almost everyday.

The swimming pool

This is what we have in order to bake pizza.

The laundry machines are available for our convenience.

The bathroom

The place where the workers take their cigarette break.

That’s our bed.

And everything costs us just nice for a 7 nights stay with 5 adults.

I’d strongly recommend this place for your Brisbane Trip.

Club Coconut Resort, Phuket

Friday, August 15th, 2008 | 130 views

We did our hotel check in and took a short lunch and a nap before we head for our another destination - FANTASEA Phuket.

We got this deal at about RM400+ including 4D3N stay at Coconut Club Resort PLUS Kuala Lumpur to Phuket Return Flight Ticket.

I don’t know what you will think, but many of my friends say that it’s fucking cheap.

For me, you when pay peanuts, you get monkeys. Well it’s just another blogger’s honest review for readers’ pleasure.

The “Lobby”

Club Coconut Resort has not very friendly Thai staffs doing your check-in thing and follow you to your room, he even stepped into your room without helping you to carry your baggage and asking for - Tips.

When you rejected for once, he won’t even feel embarrassing at all and ask for second time.

What kind of resort will do this to the guest? (I hope AirAsia’s management will read this for not including Club Coconut Resort as one of their GoPackage partners)

I don’t mind paying cheap peanuts but at least give me quality monkeys who are good in services.

After taking a short nap of 1 hour, we moved on to FANTASEA Phuket - The fascinating show in Phuket!

Here is our mode of luxury transportation to the show, it costs about RM15-20 per person.

G Hotel, Penang

Monday, August 11th, 2008 | 301 views

Note: I will be coming back from Phuket today, come back tomorrow to see Phuket post!

G Hotel always give me an impression of clean, innovative, class and most importantly, stylish!

From what I noticed throughout the 2 days at G Hotel setting up client’s event for their newly launched medical products, G Hotel is a simple hotel with quality staffs and facilities, including : -

  1. Gym
  2. Infinity Swimming Pool
  3. Business Center (I sneaked in and used it for free, haha!)
  4. Ballrooms & Function Rooms
  5. Guestrooms
  6. Restaurants
  7. Shopping Arcade (Gurney)

It’s a very well-located hotel at the heart of the city with good facilities all around.

The infinity swimming pool at it’s 3rd floor.

A night shot with an lens exposure of about 4 seconds with ISO400, using CANON IXUS 850IS.

More building shot using the same settings.

This is the lounge in front of the main ballroom.

The tariff rates of this hotel is quite pricey but I am sure it worth your pennies.

Fully recommended!

Vistana Apartments, Penang

Saturday, July 12th, 2008 | 678 views

CIMB Online Banking is so sucky, I tried to login with my own username & password and guess what?

“General Transaction Error”.

I still love Maybank2U best!

Nothing is better than a stunning nightshot from a 19th floor apartment at Penang.

It’s the view from our apartments at Vistana Apartments, Penang.

When people says the night is still young, that’s so fucking true.

We arrived to Penang at 1.00am and here you go, the stunning view of the buildings nearby Bagan Lepas.

I took this shot when I wake up early in the morning at 7.00am for some swimming downstairs.

Gavin Yong joined me for the swimming downstairs that morning.

I seriously can’t imagine why I can wake up in the early morning when I fall asleep the last night at about 5.00am+, and walked downstairs at 8.00am to swim!

Fuck, we must be mad.

See, I really jumped into the pool with Gavin, Ah Ting, Tella and Gigi Chong.

We are some happy fish.

Everyone ’s eye swollen, exactly like we always see every morning in the office.

Not forgetting, a shot of the apartment’s interior.

Price : Approx. RM280 for a 3-Rooms Apartment
Location : Right after crossing the Butterworth Bridge.

Recommended!

Did you know? YTL owns this.

Radius International Hotel, Sabah

Friday, April 11th, 2008 | 66 views

It was located at the centre of the city where you can access to most of the places by just walking.

Although the room is small, I’d say it’s nicely equipped with whatever basic items for a hotel room for holiday makers or business travelers.

Believe it or not, It’s at the rate of RM143.00 nett per night and they call this as “courtroom”

Sutera Harbour, Sabah

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 | 47 views

As what mentioned in my post before I leave to Kota Kinabalu, here you go, some photos of the superb Sutera Harbour!

I was at Sutera Harbour for a 3 days 2 night build-up for the client’s exhibition booth and I had this opportunity to mingle around the place for some shots on the landscaping.

When you tell the taxi driver that you’d like to go to Sutera Harbour, you will also need to indicate which place : Magellan / Pacific. Both of them are different hotels.

By the way, it’s just about 20 minutes far from the airport.

The rates of cabs are at fixed rate as below : -
KK International Airport - Town = RM20.00 nett
Town - KK International Airport = RM20.00 nett
Town to Sutera Harbour = RM10.00 nett
Sutera Harbour = RM10.00 nett
Town (North/East/South/West) - Town (North/East/South/West) = RM5.00 nett

Basically, they don’t use the meters machine and it’s already a fixed rate for all the taxi drivers in KK.
