Nokia E71

Saturday, November 29th, 2008 611 views

I’m sorry as I’m a little busy in the past few weeks for some jobs.

I’ve been considering about E66 before I make my decision to buy this new useful gadget. For me, it can be a 10 in 1 gadget which it worths the penny paid. I’m someone who don’t like to bring too many things with especially traveling as I am pretty forgetful to lose things somewhere in some places.

So, I choose to have this combined music player + video player + gaming station + email software + currency converter + dictionary + calendar + wifi connection + gps system + instant messenger = Nokia E71.

It’s a pretty good deal at the price of about RM1,600.00+

I made a choice to get this phone right after I’m back from Brisbane.

E71 has been a very useful gadget for me in terms of : -

  1. Nokia Email : I’m able to read personal email or company’s email and to reply by accessing using Wifi connection available at some certain locations. Without a Wifi connection, I can still access to the mailbox by using 3.5G and paying a little fees for data charges.
  2. Calender : I’m able to organizer my daily activities so that I won’t forget important appointments or date with friends.
  3. QuickOffice : To type or edit MS Word or MS Excel files, save it, send it, or print it!
  4. Dictionary : The default language is English but I’ve downloaded German and Indonesian Language, just in case I need an immediate translation.
  5. Adobe PDF : Able to read PDF Files/Drawings.
  6. Worldmate : This feature is pretty useful when you are in overseas, which it shows the updated currency and weather forecast. The system will automatically announce the weather virtually.
  7. Multiscan : It is able to read & scan your business card and save it into your telephone contacts! How convenient!
  8. GPS : So far, I don’t understand how do I use this feature. Please drop me a comment if you know how!

It’s just simply irresistable thin.

South Bank, Brisbane

Brisbane has a very nice South Bank located at the South Brisbane.

With a 8 hours flight from Kuala Lumpur to Gold Coast plus a 1 hour drive from Coolangatta Airport to Brisbane, this is where you will arrive to - South Bank Brisbane.

This is where I walked from Queen St to West End, I walked by a bridge connecting Queen St to Brisbane Convention Center.

Thats the citycat

And this is where we entered for some gambling - Conrad Treasury Casino.

Parkview Apartments, Brisbane

Sunday, November 9th, 2008 289 views

Was a little busy in the past week for some quotations and also the upcoming business trip to Dusseldorf.

Well, heres my update at Brisbane.

With the help of my colleague at Australia, she booked us this nice apartment located at Russell Street, Brisbane. From what we can see from the google map, it’s just about 100 meter away from the exhibition hall and I find it pretty convenient for all the workers and me. At least we don’t have to wake up very early to get prepared.

An owner called Rose Kite is very helpful during our stay and Australian are pretty much more polite comparing the locals here in Malaysia.

Parkview Apartments @ Brisbane West End

Thats the exterior of our apartments

From our balcony on the right side, you will see this view.

From the balcony of our left side, you can even see the exhibition hall.

The living room

The kitchen where we cook our meals almost everyday.

The swimming pool

This is what we have in order to bake pizza.

The laundry machines are available for our convenience.

The bathroom

The place where the workers take their cigarette break.

That’s our bed.

And everything costs us just nice for a 7 nights stay with 5 adults.

I’d strongly recommend this place for your Brisbane Trip.

Pizza Uno, Centre Point

Hey guys, sorry for lack of update as I just got back from Brisbane for a work trip.

Last week before I leave to Brissy, all the colleagues had a lunch gathering in-conjunction with my manager’s belated birthday.  Pizza Uno at Centre Point serves really, really quality food. Most of their food are pretty pricey but it worths the pennies.

The creamy pasta comes with the wild mushrooms.

This dessert has a very mild taste with the chocolate toppings.

With a dip in the whisky, each bite comes have it’s own unique flavor with the chef’s intention.
