That Sunday, Gigi called me ” 7 early 8 early ” (Ok, in English it means very early) at about 10.30am to wake me up if I’ve had my breakfast and she would like to have breakfast with me at Kepong before she goes to office to do some work for tender submission.
Ok, she has a new Sony Erickson Phone!

We had our toasted bread & boiled eggs at this restaurant and what Gigi told me, their rice of noodle is not as nice as what you are expecting.

Immediately we finish up the toast bread & eggs, she left to the office, and I left to the Shangri-la Hotel for tearing down of a pharmaceutical show.
And here is Gigi’s half face.

She told me she had an additional of 50KGs because she has eaten a Panadol the day before.
That is why she says she looks bloated!
By the way, she is my new colleague who’s sitting next to me. She is a noisy girl.
Food Rating: 6/10
Ambiance Rating: 7/10
Overall Rating: 7/10

Being too much silent in the past few days, what had I done?
If you were at this blog during the past 2 months, you might be probably read the post about DSA 2008, which was on 21-24 April 2008.
My client - FNSS, is simply too kind to pass me one of his gift, which is a very super-complicated tank model which is totally 0% not done! (There are some perfectly done + framed + labelled + painted but he didn’t give that to me.)

I start from this chassis

And these plastics! Note the small detailed pieces of wheels, tank accessories, protection armors?
Haha, I’m joking!
Making a model from pieces of small pieces of ’super-mini-accessories’ is not that easy as I thought. During my process of making the model, it seems that they’ve made the pieces of plastics to represents the actual tank during assembling.

The instruction of assembling a tank model, do you see that B17, C24, B7? Those are the detailed parts I am talking about. It’s very very small and you will need to have extra care for them.

The parts where I will need to have those covered on top.
You will know why, when you see how complicated and how detailed it is. It is seriously fucking detailed.
During the process of assembling, I use the super-glue which will dry in 10 seconds. It means, I will need to make my decision very quickly if that is the correct part that I should let it dry, or should I switch position before its too late?

See the lid? Accordingly to the instruction, I have to make sure fit this thing nicely or it will not work as in plan.

There you go, it works properly!
Another point of consideration, I will need to consider if this part will affect another? Or, is there any possibility that after I get the top part covered, and in the end noticed that something is not done inside the vehicle?
All to be taken into point of consideration.

With these decals, it makes your tank looks even more beautiful!

I made these 2 containers and get ready for battlefield!
It’s so tiring after playing with the thing for half day, its too detailed and its too unbelievable time consuming and require a lot of attention and care, otherwise, some parts might gone missing, or some parts might be broken into 2 or 3 pieces which will cause the reason to fail your real purpose.
In the end, it looks similiar like what is being shown as below.

Soon to be updated with finished tank model with proper acrylic frame.
Not for sale!

Recently, I am inviting bloggers to join as 1 of the 7 Guest Bloggers at this site. The reason why, I will be away for a month in August 2008 and I will need someone to look after the content of my site as I foresee that I might face some difficulties in getting some internet access. Therefore, Guest Bloggers play an important role during my absense for a month. However, as this period, If I am able to access to internet easily, I will still be posting as usual.
Below are some information of what a Guest Blogger must know.
1. Research the Blog - Do a little homework on the blog that you’ll be writing for. With these information, you are in much better position to write something that meets the needs of the reader, blogger and yourself.
- Who reads it?
- What voice of style does the blogger write in?
- What is the topic usually covered?
- What are some rules that you never notice it?
2. On Being Yourself - While I would strongly recommend that you write in your own voice and style I think it’s important not to take the blog in a completely different direction while the blogger you’re helping out is away. While some readers won’t mind a radical change some will react against it and the blogger could come back to a disgruntled readership.
3. Look for Gaps in the blog - one of the reasons that I love having a guest blogger come on at my blogs is that they bring a different skill set and knowledge base to the blog to my own. I attempt to find bloggers who will add something unique and different to the topic I’m discussion.
4. Sell Yourself - as part of the agreement that you have with the blogger that you’re helping out negotiate a byline (or by-paragraph) that will enable you to sell yourself (within reason). Include a link back to your blog and RSS feed as well as a brief biographical/descriptive sentence or two about who you are and what you do.
Link back to your site if you have something write on topic that adds something to the post - but don’t fill your posts with self referential links - this looks cheap and nasty.
Another aspect of selling yourself is sharing some of your story. While blog readers ultimately want great content on a blog - many also want to connect and relate to the person they’re reading to. This doesn’t mean writing a biographical post but it could mean sharing some of your experiences on the topic at hand.
Lastly, part of selling yourself is to consider what is happening on your own blog during your guest posting stint. If you blog on someone else’s blog for a week but let your own slip you don’t provide those who come over to check more of your work out with much incentive to stick around. If anything - the times that you guest post you should put a concerted effort into making bigger efforts onto your own blog as it’s an opportunity to find new readers.
5. Be Reliable - if you commit to post daily for a week - post daily for a week. If you promise to write a series on a certain topic - finish the series and don’t leave it hanging mid stream.
If you can’t meet your commitments you let the blogger and their readers down and could damage your own reputation. It’s better to set lower expectations and over deliver than to promise the world and not deliver to the expectations that you’ve set.
6. Add Value - don’t view guest blogging as purely an opportunity for you to get new readers and promote yourself. Remember the reason that we talked about guest blogging being a good thing was that it was a win win win situation where you as the guest blogger might raise your profile but where the blogger and their readers need to come away from the interaction better off too.
Add genuine value to the blog you are writing on and you’ll win yourself new fans with readers and the blogger and could just find yourself with a regular guest blogging spot.
Being a good guest blogger is like being a good guest in any situation. Do everything in your power to leave the place you are visiting in better shape than when you arrived and you’ll create a great impression.

Last Friday night, I went to One World Hotel for my colleague’s project - ISentress Product Launch @ One World Hotel, by MSD.

We were in the function room called - Maple.

It’s a pretty straight forward product launch, started by the emcee inviting the chairperson to give a speech and to explain a lot of those medical terms which I don’t understand at all. Followed by the opening gambit with some light effects & confetti, calling off a new product launch called - ISentress.

After the product launch, I met up with my colleagues for this movie called “The Happening”, which is a little bit also not happening at all.

I rate the movie at 5/10. Please don’t go and watch.

If you’ve read my post last 2 weeks ago, I was at Bangkok for business trip, building up Austrian Booth at Entech Pollutec 2008.
This Dynasty Hotel Bangkok (Located at Bangkapi, opposite Ramkamhaeng University), I tell you, no good, no good.
The location of this hotel was located next to the Bangkapi Canal which I agree that you can see a very good view from your hotel room, if its located at high floor facing the city, like the below.

How nice, you can see this every morning when you wake up from sleep. One long tail boat coming after another and another and another.
With a price of USD49.00 per night, you get to stay this room located at high floor.

You can even see sunset from the window of this room.

But, it’s too ridiculous to have this hotel to have a terrible blackout when I went back to my hotel room that night at 11.00pm- 1.00am. Most of the guests have to wait at the lobby until 1.00am when the electricity comes back. Upon checking out, I requested for a refund or compensation for being a bad service, and It was being rejected.
Therefore, I’d rate this hotel with the rate : -
- Service : 6/10
- Room Cleanliness : 7/10
- Price : 7/10
- Restaurant’s Food (Breakfast & Dinner) : 4/10
- Overall : 5/10
I even posted a review at asiarooms.com, which I’ve made my bookings earlier.
Now I know better, I should stay at Avana Hotel during my next business trip to BITEC, Bangkok. It’s much more nearer to the convention center and also nearer to the city.
Remember once during my last business trip to Bangkok in October 2007, I used to stay in 13 Coins Resort and it’s just like a ghost mansion. See it to believe it!

I was with the same gang again yesterday on my 2nd day leave, which I am trying hard to burn it all off. (I spent many weekends working & working and I get to apply for Off-In-Lieus, for replacement purposes)

Many thanks to Advertlets for the tickets for this movie preview. In the hall of about 200 seats or more, there are about 70%-80% bloggers gathered in this hall for this movie - Made of Honour.

Imagine the entire hall was seated with 200 or more bloggers, each having their own blog on the internet?
How cool?

Also, I’d like to thanks to Josh, Sandra, Simonso, Smashpop & Karena for arranging the ticket redemption.
By the way, I am on leave again next Monday!

I am on leave yesterday & today just to clear up my weekend replacement leaves!
We are in Look Out Point KL again. This is my second time going up to Look Out Point for a dinner & hangout with friends.
Beforehand, we gathered at Sandra’s house at Taman Midah, Rachel brought and we played this game called Taboo by Hasbro.!
What is Taboo?
Taboo is a word guessing party game commercially available from Hasbro. The object of the game is for a player to have their partner(s) guess the word on their card without using the word itself or five additional words listed on the card.
The game is similar to Catch Phrase, also from Hasbro, in which a player tries to get his or her teammates to guess words using gestures and verbal cues.
Rules of Taboo
An even number of players from four to ten sit alternating around in a circle. Players take turns as the “giver,” who attempts to prompt his or her teammates to guess as many keywords as possible in the allotted time. However, each card also has “taboo” (forbidden) words listed which may not be spoken. Should the giver say one, a “censor” on the opposing team hits the buzzer and the giver must move on to the next word. For example, the giver might have to get his or her team to say “baseball” without saying “sport,” “game,” “pastime,” “hitter,” “pitcher,” nor “baseball.” The giver may NOT say a part of a “taboo” word; for example, using “base” in “baseball” is taboo. The giver may only use speech to prompt his or her teammates; gestures, sounds (e.g. barking), or drawings are not allowed (though modifications may be made for deaf or mute players). The giver’s hints may not rhyme with a taboo word, or be an abbreviation of a taboo word.
While the giver is prompting the teammates (without hand motions), they may yell out as many guesses as possible, rational or not, with no penalties. Once the team correctly guesses the word, the giver moves on to the next word, trying to get as many words as possible in the allotted time. When time runs out, play turns over to the next adjacent player of the other team. The playing team receives one point for correct guesses, one penalty point if “taboo” words are spoken, and the opposing team receives one point each time the giver passes. (Wikipedia)

Then, we continued our trip to Gasoline @ Look Out Point KL.

After having our dinner at Gasoline KL, had a moment of good laughter on the baby Karena (She is so darn cute & naive as usual), we went up to the tower and here’s the stunning view of Kuala Lumpur, again!

In Bangkok, BTS Skytrain is one of the most important transportation method that the public use for daily transportation.
When its fucking jam on the road, I will take BTS Skytrain to the nearest drop off point and secondly, with a cab to reach my dinner or shopping destination.
I’d say its pretty convenient for backpack travelers or holiday makers.
The most important thing is, they won’t come late like what our Keretapi Tanah Melayu did.

The above image is a exchange platform for two routes. If I can remember, its at “SIAM Station”

I am actually waiting at the SIAM Station to go and meet my client for dinner at Seafood Market Restaurant, Sukhumvit 24.

It’s pretty clean …

To understand more on the route, please click here.
Just to update, I’ve added 3 more thumbnails to the sidebar for your viewing pleasure.
