Journey to KK, Sabah

The day I woke up very early and Uncle Taxi even waited for me at 5.00am, 30 minutes earlier than what I called and booked. So far, he has been a very good driver who send me from Kepong to KLIA.

With such opportunity, I think I should recommend him and for those who are reading this, you should take down his number at 016-6925476/019-3322345 (Yajib). His rate is RM70.00 for sending you to KLIA.

I went LCCT taking AirAsia to Kota Kinabalu for Business Trip (Representing my colleague to take-charge of an exhibition booth for client), I had this opportunity to pay a visit at Kota Kinabalu for the very first time!

Kota Kinabalu, is just a very small town and my booth contractor even brought me around with his 4×4 and we manage to complete the town in just less than 1 hour. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Seriously, I have 1 whole day and I have nowhere to go. I didn’t know where is the Jetty or you will see more shots of Islands & Snorkeling. I even brought my underwater set along!

At Sabah, there are places which I’ve explored:-

1. Waterfront - A place which known as happening place during weekends. You can get good massage at affordable rate, clubs like “BED”, pubs, lounges, western food, dining at the seaside enjoying the sea breeze at night, listening to some songs and chill out.

2. Philippino Market - The locals tell me that they don’t really visit this place. It meant for tourists and you must beware of your belongings as there are many pickpockets. They sell souvenirs and local made woodcrafts. They even peel the skin off from a real frog and made them a purse and selling it at RM55.00 each! (Bargainable Price)

3. Portview Seafood Restaurant - Another place where people always say that the great seafood to be found here. Yet there is another fact saying that this place sell expensive seafood! By the way, I’ve tried out their food with my booth contractor and the rate will be approximately 6/10. If you happen to visit Sabah, many locals say that the best seafood is not in the town, which you need to take a cab approx. 20 minutes from the town.

Sorry, no photos taken at this place.

4. Bukit Bendera, Kota Kinabalu - Yes, you read it right! It’s Bukit Bendera as what you can see in Penang. My booth contractor brought me up and there you go - THE FUCKIN’ ENTIRE KOTA KINABALU is all under your feet.

5. Night Food Market - If you love big fresh seafood, this is a place that you must visit. It’s located at the same row of Waterfront and you will find this place which looks like a Pasar Malam. Just remember to bargain for good price.

Ok, enough said. Here are some previews of the upcoming posts/recommendations at Kota Kinabalu, Sabah : -

  1. Radius International Hotel, Sabah
  2. Fish & Co, Sabah
  3. Fisherman’s Wharfs, Sabah
  4. Sabah Government Building
  5. Sutera Harbour, Sabah

So Now You Know … !
