At Sungai Klah, they name it as “Taman Rekreasi Air Panas”. In short, TRAP. In English, it means Hot Spring Theme Park.

It happens that we manage to drop by TRAP before we continue our journey to Teluk Intan. For your information, this place is located in Sungkai and it is about 2 hours drive from Kuala Lumpur.

Entrance costs you about RM10.00 for adult, and RM8.00 for children.

At TRAP, a goggles or floating tubes is not needed. The guards will not allow you to use them in the hot spring anyway.

At TRAP, you will find this place for people to boil the eggs. The temperature is good enough to boil an egg and you can instantly have your eggs eaten on the spot. Of course, it is not allowed to bring eggs from your house buy you can purchase eggs at an affordable price.

It’s freaking hot inside the hot spring pool!

There is a hot spring pool allowing people to have a short bath + swimming. It is about 40-60 degree celcius and floating tubes are not allowed.

That’s the trip to TRAP, moving on to Fishing Village next 2 days!

So Now You Know … !

Woah they’re really smart in making money, for not allowing visitors to bring their own eggs and you’ll need to buy from them! Brilliant idea, albeit being a tad bit annoying.

I can see that the pool where people would soak their legs is kind of connected to the pool where people boil their eggs! Isn’t that too hot? I’m just worried :)

I’ve never been to a hot spring before! I thought they do not exist in Malaysia… and looks like I’m wrong! Thanks for sharing the experiences and the photos of your trip!

Imagine tens of thousands of legs dipped inside that pool…and the hot water that boils the egg, the people that were in the bath…were all the same water.

Still dare to eat that egg?LOL.

Hi! Google and found your blog. I just visited TRAP a week ago. We went there in the late evening. It’s quite good, affordable at only RM10 for a few hot spring pools.

We boiled eggs too! Well, for boiling eggs, it’s a different hot spring spot and it is hotter; it’s not for dipping feet, and I bet you guys won’t do that too to get cooked feet! XD

Nice blog about TRAP. I’m going to blog about it too! Thanks for sharing! :)

Kawan, boiling eggs and dipping of foots are all separate pools and being a “spring” the water is forever circulating. This is a MUST visit place, try the “Private Rooms with Jacuzzi pool” at only $65.00 / hour. Cool n romantic. Over night also SHIOK, beautiful Feda run resort at less than $200 / room on weekdays.
