Boh Estate, Cameron Highlands

Tuesday, January 15th, 2008 65 views

A journey of about 12KM from the main road, we finally arrive to the Boh Estate after a steep and narrow roads. What you need to do is to horn all along the way to make sure the cars coming from the opposite side are aware.

You will see flowers like this, before even you climb up to the View Point.

There is only 1 way up and you will see the whole Boh Estate, all under your feet.

The steps are steep and it takes about 15 minutes to climb up to the hilltop.

At Boh Estate, you will enjoy the most breath taking scenery!

You will just simply fall in love with the aroma of the tea leaves !

There is a Boh Teashop whereby all the visitors will sit and enjoy different flavor of Boh Tea. This is where we ordered the Peppermint Tea and some Pies.

With a bright sunny day with proper lightings and angles, you will have some good pictures with good background sceneries.

Next Travel Destination: Krabi, Thailand. (Stay tuned for Underwater Photos!)

Underwater Dicapack WP-400

Sunday, January 13th, 2008 240 views

You can now have a new toy in your bath tub rather than having only a rubber duck!

Ever heard of DiCAPac? A plastic case which allow you to swim together with your digital camera?

The superiority performance of DiCAPac is ensured by waterproof test for 2 times.
Within the 10M depth underwater, both Camera Button Operating and Photographing are convenient, as well as easily to acquire excellent underwater pictures.
About over 10M, as the reason for high water pressure applying to the Camera case, It’s common to feel some difficulties for button manual, however the waterproof result is guaranteed to be perfect.

The super transparent vinyl case and the optical lens are in a just matching, it is really amazing that same picture effectiveness could be acquired from DiCAPac compared with those high-end and expensive camera housing facilities. -Adopted from Dicapac Website

Thanks to efficient service of Shashinki.com Store, I placed my order on Sunday and made payment at the same day and I got my stuff on Thursday mailed by Poslaju to my office. (It comes with proper packaging)

Oh by the way, I got it at RM99.00.

All you need to do is to place your camera inside and zip-lock it, and to Velcro it.

You will need do to initial test during first use, to ensure there is no leakage. I tried it with a piece of money notes and it works!

Then, I placed my camera inside and these are some of the shots at the water tank.

I am going to Krabi Thailand for snorkeling, of course - Underwater Photography!

Steamboat, Carnation Apartment

Wednesday, January 9th, 2008 74 views

After a round of sight-seeing, we went back to the Carnation Apartment and prepared the Steamboat dinner together with mom. Yes, we even brought up the Steamboat set!

This is where we stay, a newly built apartment for families.

In Cameron, Broccoli in Purple Color is selling at the price of RM4.50 each, very expensive. (In local supermarkets, you can get at RM1.00 each. It tastes a little bit of sweetness.

Mushrooms in Cameron Highlands is pricey, too.

A steamboat without meat!

Cactus Farm, Cameron Highlands

Saturday, January 5th, 2008 102 views

Hey peeps!

First of all, maybe you would like to check out my Flickr Album on Cameron Highlands?

Cameron Highlands is great! There are so many colorful photos after all.

A drive to Cameron Highlands takes me about 4 hours from Kuala Lumpur. Please bear in mind that there are total of 2 routes going up to Cameron Highlands.

  1. Tapah Route - Old route, curves and bumpy. A lot of landslides happen and very dangerous
  2. Simpang Pulai Route - New route and straight

Route taken : Kepong - Rawang - Highway - Tapah - Simpang Pulai - Brinchang - Tanah Rata.
Petrol Consumed : 1.5 Tank (Gen 2)
Accommodation : Carnation Park Apartment (Provided by relatives)

Places Visited:-

  1. Bee Farm
  2. Boh Estate
  3. Brinchang Pasar Malam
  4. Orchid Farm
  5. Cactus Plantation
  6. Others

We left Kepong at 12.00pm in the afternoon and we were at the Brinchang Pasar Malam at 5.00pm. The Pasar Malam is huge and it is only operating on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

It has variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers to be sold all over the place. Not forgetting, raw corns and strawberries!

After a round of bargaining at the Pasar Malam, we headed up to Tanah Rata and where we pulled over to a Cactus Farm to purchase some cactus.

The above looks like fingers,

Hunting Hermit Crab, Pantai Kelenang

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008 85 views

The place where it has swarm, there will be lots of Mudskippers, Hermit Crabs, Soft-Shell Crabs and other sea creatures.

All the small little kids, Uncle & I went for seafood hunting after the sea water went shallower and shallower.

You have to walk few hundred meters away in order to reach the sea water!

Here, uncle even brought his equipment!

At swarm, it looks like mud rather than being sand.

And the kids are is not heavy enough to leave any footprints on it.

Look at how we had fun in the mud.

So we hunt for the hermit crabs,

Picnic, Pantai Kelenang

Tuesday, January 1st, 2008 176 views

First of all, I’d like to wish you Happy New Year 2008! I am currently with fellow friends having a BBQ Party at Kota Damansara, for a 2008 Countdown Party.

This year, you will see some major changes on the blog’s theme and color, a flashback will be written in the next few posts, so, stay tuned.

Some of you are asking me : “Where you went during Christmas?”

My uncles planned for this Picnic weeks ago before Christmas, and we met up early morning at 8.00 O’Clock at Banting Town, and headed to this newly built and unexplored beach side - Pantai Kelenang.

It’s at Banting Town, heading towards Tanjong Sepat and you will see signboards.

First of all, we set up our site at spot between the trees, so that we can get the sun-shade material tied.

It has been a while I never play with sand castle since I was a small kid, I believe it was back into 18-20 years ago.

The moment where you can see the happiness of those little cousins, it is so indescribable.

So many relatives going for a Picnic on a bright day without any hot sun, how nice it can be!

This is an event where you can only see 2 siblings playing water together, happily!

Look at this sweet princess, she is so adorable.

Another picture where you can see 2 siblings together at the beach side.

Ah Yang is actually not floating, the water is just simply too shallow to allow him to lay on the seabed like that.

Little kids can actually think that this is his boat on the shallow sea water. I wander how innocent they are.
