Wat Phra Kaew, Bangkok Thailand

Tuesday, November 6th, 2007 61 views

The famous Wat Phra Kaew also known as Grand Palace.

We spent half a day at Grand Palace taking photos and prayed.

From Bangkok City, you can take cab which will cost you about Rm20.00. Tell the taxi driver “Wattttt Phhhrraaaa Keoowwwww” and they will send you here.

The Grand Palace was protected with 4 walls at each side.

You will have the only entrance going into the Grand Palace. Please also bear in mind that you will need to pay a certain amount in order for you to enter to the Grand Palace.

This is the famous Wat Phra Keow! It’s a huge golden plated temple.

The entrance to the temple.

If you can remember my post about my countdown to Bangkok, this is where they took the photo from.

This is a cropped image from a high pixel photo.

I love the golden color. It looks so brand new striking!

Take a big round and you will see this. Everyone prays the buddha and make their wish here.

Wat Phra Keow is definitely a heaven for photography lovers!

The Buddha sits behind the wall.

This is where people meets and pray the Buddha. Photography is not allowed in this hall, and I took this photography with the zoom feature from outside of the hall.

There are so many people standing outside the hall taking the photos of the Buddha.

After meeting the Buddha, you will have to dip your head with the holy water to significant good luck and brand new life.

After coming out from the temple, I was with these people who can’t move for the day. They were paid to stand the whole day without moving any single centimeter. It becomes one of the main attraction for the tourists who love to take photos with human sculptures. I am one of them.

I snapped my ‘girlfriend’.

Central City, Bangna Bangkok

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 53 views

Let me clarify.

Bangna is a city.

Let me introduce.

Central City is a shopping centre in Bangna, which is just right opposite at the place where I’m staying at.

It has most of the brands in this mall, including the ultimate cheap massage centre! RM30.00 per hour.

They have a lot of Black Canyon Coffee in Thailand.

Did you notice that the Mr McDonald at Thailand is much more fatter comparing Malaysia’s? I wander if he ate too much of pork. For your information, Thailand sells a lot of pork comparing Malaysia. Thai people can display the pork like nobody business.

After the opening ceremony, I simply have too much time walking around. I smell and I saw this!

The food bazaar!!!

Frankly, the color attracted me.

Food in Malaysia is simply dull and “a little bit also not colorful at all”.

At bazaar like this, you won’t want to read what is written. You will only see the numberings indicating the prices of the food.

This is some sort of biscuits dipped into syrup.

These are Thai Rojaks!

Thai people sells a lot of raw spicy food.

These are some fried pork!

They even have their own Bak Chang !

You can see these only at benghan.com, share this with your friend!

Pat Pong Red Light District, Thailand

Thursday, November 1st, 2007 41 views

Heard of Pat Pong?

Don’t laugh at me please.

I was informed about Pat Pong, out of curiosity, I was at Pat Pong for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Seriously this is a thrilling experience we had in Thailand. Lets see why and how.

We took a taxi from the resort to this place called Pat Pong. Right after coming out from the taxi, we were offered with a package of watching Carabet Show at the price of 100Baht.

Warning: Don’t ever believe all these crap. If you never been to one Carabet Show before, get some friend in Thailand to bring you. Don’t attempt to go into one without any single knowledge on Thai language, or, you will be conned nicely.

Out of curiosity, we went into a Carabet Show and we were conned nicely. Verbally agreed at the price of 100Baht but we were shown with the bill of 3800 Baht (Which we’ve ordered only 2 coke and 1 Heineken). Always remember, don’t drink any liquor which is not ordered by you. If they ever brought liquor to you, politely reject, or to send the liquor back to the counter by yourself. Once you’ve drank any, you are into big trouble. A small glass of liquor will cost you more than RM100/1000Baht.

End up, we bargained and finally we paid 1500 Baht for 2 Coke and 1 Heineken. This is so unforgettable. Imagine if they insist us paying 3800 Baht and we might be beaten up by those bunch of uneducated bouncers.

Tell you what, the girls in the Carabet Show is so simply FAT and UGLY. They are seriously shameless showing their fats! I feel so uncomfortable watching all the fat ladies walking towards me and shaking my hands. I might instantly vomit my dinner on their face. Guys, if you are a first time holiday makers to Bangkok Pat Pong and If you’d like to watch Carabet Show as a once in a life time experience, please go to those bigger and more happening pubs. Don’t ever believe any strangers! I’ve warned you.

This is how a Carabet Show in Pat Pong looks like.

I had a nightmare watching all the accumulated fats, the ugly ladies. The layers of flesh bumping into each other. It is seriously unforgettable experience.

A place with con mans!

If you ever want to watch Carabet Show in Thailand, get Thai friend to bring you along, to be safer.
