Invitation to MOTO GP

Monday, October 15th, 2007 62 views

I’m currently at Bangkok and this is an automated post.

This is so an exciting moment!

I have never been to this kind of event before. I don’t spend few thousands to purchase Grand Stand seatings in order to smell the engines or to see some big boobs.

This time, courtesy of Susan Sim, I got myself an invitation to the upcoming Moto GP which will be on 19-21 October 2007.

All FOC.

This evening after coming back from the office and I noticed that there is a document parcel from Pos Express.

Surprisingly, it is the VIP invitation from Bar Ibiza!

The Paddock @ Sepang International Circuit. I will be there right after I’m back from Bangkok!

I get to : -

  • Watch the race in the comfort of a VIP lounge.
  • Garage visit and Pit-lane walk.
  • Win exclusie Ducati merchandises. (What is Ducati? LOL)
  • Take the ride of a lifetime on a 2-seater Moto GP bike.
  • Meet Moto GP riders Casey Stoner and Loris Capirossi in person.

I seriously don’t have any idea who are the motorbikers even I bump them at the loo side by side. So, I will just be there as an additional lifetime experience. At least I can tell people hows a PIT looks like.

Phew !! At least now I don’t have to sit at the hilltop with an umbrella covering me with an additional heat. At least I don’t have to purchase a soft drink at the price of RM5.00 per can.

Stay tuned for more photos of big wheels and big boobs.

Thank you to Bar Ibiza for this great opportunity.

Once I’m done with my work there, I will be updating with my Thailand’s number at this post.

Today will be a very hectic day. Upon arriving to Bangkok, I will need to check in my hotel and will need to rush to the site very quickly for setting up my client’s pavilion.

Not forgetting, I will update photos whenever I’m free during on-site. So, stay tuned for my Bangkok on-site photos!

waa… so deliciously yummy yet so expensive… who can tell me, where can i get cheap and deadly delicious foods?? arghhh!!

really cannot tahan yummy foods~

okey.. to answer my own question.. i actually have 2 favourite places for cheap and deadly delicious foods… first one, let me introduce you to the all time favorite Hong Kong Snack Stall outside LowYat Plaza.

they have the best curry fishballs i’d ever had.. really… its yummy and cheap… it doesn’t taste like the normal curry we ate or those curry fishballs we ate in pasar malam…

sorry, i ate one edi..

usually i’ll eat 3 fishballs and a bowl of shark fins soup.. and its just RM1.50 for 3 fishballs and RM4.00 per bowl of shark fins soup. its cheap to make me full the whole day..

the second stop.

if night time i’m still hungry, i’ll ask my bf to fetch me to Sri Sinar to eat their best Meatballs Noodle~ its called “zhu yuk yun fan” in cantonese. (sorry, i dunno how to write chinese, i can only do han yu pin yin). the stall is located in between 2 chinese coffee shop, opposite both of the coffee shop in a row of atap shops. (oh man, its so hard to explain). the shop’s name “sam kam zhong” in cantonese. their main branch is in Taman Desa, nearby Taman Ehsan. and another branch in Jalan Ipoh. the one in Jalan Ipoh its not that nice..

we always go to the one in Sri Sinar. usually we’ll order one bowl of meatballs with bihun and kuey teow soup. and if i’m not that hungry, i’ll just order a bowl of 5 meatballs. but i’d prefer kuey teow more. they also serve with yee mee and you can also pick whether you want it in soup or dry, “gon lou”. and even better, you can ask them to add more “zhu cheong” pork sausage and minced meat.

i love it because the soup is really tasty - enough flavor and it doesn’t have the pork smell. sometimes if they keep the soup for too long, or they had too many pork inside the soup, it’ll make the soup porky oily. but this stall, they always do the best. the QC very good. *thumbs up*

the price is RM3.50 for small bowl, to RM4.50 for big. if add pork sausage and minced meat, its RM5.00. two person eat full full also no need RM10.00.

=)

signing off, thanks for reading.

BBQ Party, Klang

Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 30 views

Did I tell you that I have bunch of buddies at Klang? I used to stay in Klang but since 2 years ago, I moved to Kepong to stay with my granny.

As usual, I won’t miss out any gatherings with my buddies in Klang. Whenever there is a gathering especially something that is related to FOOD, they count me in.

Last Sunday, it was Poh Tat’s Birthday and his family made a simple birthday gathering for the colleagues and buddies. His house is always the best spot for all of us to gather together for gambling during Chinese New Year, or, to have parties during some special occasions.

Did I tell you about Candy Cake House - A cake house owned by one of my buddy?

He is always the best cake supplier whenever we have gatherings.

Meet my friend - Hwai Hong!

The fish dipped with chili together with some ladyfinger, it makes the meat even more BBQlicious!

Even if you BBQ it together with a 8 inches sausage.

Ever see this kind of nice seafood at BBQ party? This is a luxury BBQ but not a plain, simple BBQ.

I don’t like those BBQ with the ingredients of only fish balls, sotong balls, crab balls, his balls, his balls, his balls. It is so boring. “A little bit also not happening at all.”

We are planning to have a adventurous trip to Rumah Rehat Adeline on 3 & 4 November 2007. This is where we are going to have the White Water Rafting, Paintball Shooting, Abselling and many more!

Souled Out, Sri Hartamas

Daily Say : There is a new affiliate at www.flsam.com! He had himself a slot of free blog hosting. You want one? Drop me a message.

It has been a while never meet my very old colleague - Wai Leng.

I am warning you not to read this post with an empty stomach.

Sometimes, meeting a long-time-no-see friend is not bad tho. We had our lunch on last Saturday at the famous Souled Out at Sri Hartamas.

Believe me, their price kills you nicely. But, they serve good quality food and thats for sure!

Wai Leng used to be my superior where we work together for few projects like Maybelline Beauty-In-Me Campaign, CIBA Vision Roadshow, Campbell Soup, Clinique and many more!

Wai Leng promoting Clinique Products at KDU Penang. The girl at the right is Stephanie, a new found friend during our roadshow at KDU Penang.

Talking about the histories in our previous employments comparing current employment, it is seriously hilarious.

Don’t mention about work, let’s stalk at some food.

At Souled Out, they don’t serve Pizzas or Pastas before 6.00pm. What we can get is only the light snacks and also some chinese local food. Thats it.

Wai Leng & I ordered this - Sang Har Mee (To be pronounced in Cantonese)

The prawns are so fingerlicious big with it’s flesh, the mee are so nicely fried.

The presentation of it, i name it a “perfect”.

What else can you complaint? This is at the price of about RM25.00 each.

Next!! Lamb Shank.

The meat is so fresh and it is not like the hardened meat which we always had in the mamak. It was served with mashed potatoes and some vegetables. This is at the price of about RM33.00 each.

Both of the courses is good enough for both of us to share.

With 2 additional iced lemon tea, it’s at the price of RM92.80 with tax.

I’m typing this entry with an empty stomach and its making noise now. Sigh.

Online Hotel Reservation at RatestoGo

Friday, October 5th, 2007 44 views

This morning, my secretary colleague made a reservation for my upcoming business trip to Bangkok on 13 October 2007 - 19 October 2007. We made bookings through Rates to Go and I’ve made a payment using my card.

By booking 13 Coins Hotel at USD29.00 x 6 nights, I paid the deposit first and thinking if the resort is not that nice, I will switch to another one immediately.

Guess what, my colleague went Bangkok last week and she is sleeping alone and she heard the sound of flushing toilet. She opts for a room-changing but in the end there is no more room available, ending up she has to overnight at the hotel lobby.

Surprisingly, someone from 13 Coins Hotel Chain - the managing director Mr Jason gave me a call and saying that they are offering a pickup from the airport and he mentioned that he is able to transfer me to a better “13 Coins Airport Grand Resort” rather than staying at “13 Coins Hotel”. All at no additional cost! (For your information, 13 Coins Hotel is selling at USD29 per night and 13 Coins Airport Grand Resort is selling at USD38 per night.)

Seriously this is so unbelievable. Do you have any idea why is this?

By confirming twice, he is able to transfer my team to the 13 Coins Airport Grand Resort with no additional extra charges. I am still doubting of it, and let’s see what is the offer that he manage to provide to me.

They have boxers’ ring, too!

By the way, the 13 Coins Airport Grand Resort that my team is staying in, there is free internet connection and I will be updating my Thai’s mobile number. You can reach me by calling +66********* (Total of 11 digits). I will be updating my Thai Mobile’s Number here once I purchase the number.

Calling to Thai is very cheap nowadays,  it won’t cost you more than RM2.00 per minute. HAHA ! So, call me!

Anyone went to Bangkok before? Any nice place is a must to visit?
